Focus on your personal career strategy
In the field of career development it can be easy to lose sight of your own career goals. Hire Big 10+’s new Personal Career Strategy Groups are designed to connect consortium members to engage in structured career development conversations that focus on personal professional goals. Groups of 4-5 participants will meet to discuss personal professional development and functional topics. For the initial pilot of this program, groups will meet bi-weekly from October through mid-December. Connect with colleagues, learn from peers, gain skills and plan for the next stage in your career!

Who should join?
All are welcome! This is for new and mid career professionals, as well as seasoned leaders. Whether you’re just starting out, or maybe you feel as though you’re at a plateau or asking yourself “what's next?”, this is for you.Discussion Topics
Upon registering, members will indicate interest in a variety of topics. Members will be grouped together based on interests, and each group will be provided with resources and activities to facilitate group discussions around their chosen topics. Topics include, but aren’t limited to, planning your career trajectory, personal branding, presenting at conferences, performing research, how not to fear data, managing staff, teaching, revenue generation, and more!

Time commitment
The pilot will kick off October 2021 and will wrap up in December 2021. You’ll be provided a suggested schedule, but your group has ultimate control over scheduling and timing of your meetings. To get the most out of your meeting time, we recommend 90 minutes every other week.
