We will hear from an employer and a representative from The Washington Center (an internship and professional development group in the nation's Capital) on:
· An assessment of the state of the art with regard to disability employment (better/worse, easier/harder, more/less success, any particular category/ies of disabilities to bring to our attention, etc?),
· What campus career centers can do to facilitate the relationship with employers to improve disability inclusion,
· Are students with disabilities well prepared when they enter the workplace? What can campus career centers do better?
Ahead of the event, we encourage you to submit questions and topics that you would like to have addressed by our presenters. Please direct your questions and topics to Nancy Forsythe at nforsyt2@umd.edu.
