We are pleased to invite you to our final Best Practice Call of the 2020-21 academic year! This call with focus on Supporting Student Outcomes in a Disrupted Academic Year to highlight successful initiatives/programs/etc. our member schools have undertaken this Spring to directly support students to support hiring/recruiting, skill building, etc.
The call will feature two speakers, followed by Q&A and member discussion:
Student Skill Development: Doanise Thompson from The Ohio State University will share their experience with their Readiness Competencies Certificate program - a student experience designed to support additional skill building + career preparation opportunities for students.
Connecting Students to Just-In-Time Opportunities: Bryan Zaramba from the University of Wisconsin-Madison will discuss a new program that engages students via Microsoft Teams to provide real-time information on newly sourced internship and full time opportunities and recruiting events.
Following the speakers, participants will have the opportunity for a Q&A with our speakers, as well as a more detailed discussion around how other members/institutions are finding innovative ways to support student career outcomes this semester.
